Moving desert

A biker rides through the dunes on the outskirts of the Badain Jaran desert north of Wuwei, China. Every year the desert expands several metres as deadly sandstorms from the north become a more frequent phenomenon. When an area has been taken over by the desert it is almost impossible to reclaim it back.
