Methane bubbles

Anatoliy pokes a Thermokast lake to show us the gas released. When permafrost melts, residues from previous lifeforms locked in the ice for millennia start to decompose creating methane and other greenhouse gases. Huge amounts of greenhouse gases will be released into the atmosphere if the frozen grounds on the earth continue to thaw. This will undoubtedly accelerate warming and will further disrupt weather systems on the planet.
