Crossing the Yuribey

Over two thousand reindeer plunge into the Yuribey river crossing from South to North. The migration over the river is only possible at certain points of the year and becomes trickier as the climate gets warmer. The quick spring melt and refreezing leaves unstable thin ice that reindeer can't cross giving rise to food shortages and overgrazing.
