Sunrise over parched land

A mother and son hammer a pole into the parched land to tie up their cow, offering it the last dry remnants of hay stubble on their land. It is drought and pasture for livestock is scarce. The monsoon season is late and the arrival of water is becoming increasingly erratic every year. Farmers survive on a fine line, walking a tight rope of survival. If the rains fail or come too late, some will be forced to dispose of their livestock.
