The whole family

People of all ages are involved in the reconstruction of the sea defence wall south west Sagar Island. Most families have no choice but to bring their children with them to work. Here mother, father, daughter and sons participate in building. Hundreds of people were killed and more than 22,000 homes were ravaged when the cyclone struck the Bay of Bengal in May 2009. The cyclone destroyed the former wall, smashing it to pieces rendering people homeless and destroying farmland.
