Love and Peace march

After spending the night in Lal Baba Ashram in Bhojbasa the 'Love and Peace March' group continue their 2,500 kilometre long walk from the source of the Ganges to its delta. Ex Lawyer and Guru, Acharyanirj leads the group of holy men and professionals that hope to reach the sea on the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. They aim to be at least 1000 strong by the end taking inspiration from Gandhi's achievements. The group fear for the future of the Holy river as the glacier's rate of yearly melt is increasing while further down the river toxic industrial discharge and pollution escalate. The youngest participant in the march is Shivam Shamna, 15, and the eldest is Sures Bhai, 58. “Everyone needs to think about saving water and seriously consider our fresh water resources for future generations” says Sures Bhai.
