The beginning

The Bhagirathi river appears small and insignificant from this perspective above the glacier, a mere trickle in this moon like landscape. It is the beginning of May and in a couple of week’s time the water flow will be much vastly different. The peaks of ice mark the edge of the glacier and by the end of the summer will be part flowing into the Bay of Bengal.
