Pilgrims asleep

Thousands of pilgrims trek through Lakshman Jhula north of Rishikesh after the 2010 Kumbh Mela in Haridwar. Visiting temples and bathing in the Ganges River, the pilgrims simply drop to the floor to sleep at the end of a day walking as night falls. An estimated 16 million pilgrims have visited the festival making it the largest religious gathering on the planet.
