View from Olkhon

Olkhon island is a 70 kilometre island that lies almost in the middle of 636 km long and 80 km wide lake Baikal. This is the view North West over Olkhon's grassy planes with the Baikal mountains in the background. The Baikal stone hollow has become home to one of the richest and most unusual fresh water fauna in the world as it has been isolated from the outer world.
